Remaining in the realm of French heritage luxury: a Louis Vuitton Papillon. The first-ever version of the round bag was released in 1966. But a true classic never vanishes - just recently the made-over version has been spotted on the runway. Under the watchful eye of Johnny Coca, the current creative director for accessories and in charge of women’s leather goods, the top handle purse got a trendy facelift. The re-edition was introduced in Vuitton’s pre-fall 2021 look 10 in a bright-yellow epi leather. A classical round shape keeps the bag interesting, while its minimalistic form remains young and unexpected. All this in the classic LV canvas shows that the company, even though celebrating the 200th birthday of the brand's founder, is still relevant.
