Chat GTP is still a hot commodity—comparable to nothing in the realm of luxury secondhand fashion—as it is available to everyone, wherever and whenever needed or wanted. But this technology will not only change the way we learn and work but also, sooner or later, the way we shop, consume fashion, and maybe even style ourselves. By now, it can already improve itself and source information as well as data, but what it cannot replicate are emotions. When it comes to getting dressed on a daily basis, not only objective factors like the weather come into play but also subjective ones—the feelings one has, the mood one is in, and the level of comfort or sophistication wanted to be portrayed. As well it is not reliable in authenticating products, at least not yet. Additionally, it cannot source products but that might only be a question of time. Sooner or later, AI will be able to predict trends, but for now, with limited information, it still considers skinny jeans to be the hottest cut of jeans and provides recommendations based on outdated rules of dress.
