VIXEN MEETS WINTER FLORALS
The looming change in seasons brings not only a shift in weather but also a transformation in our wardrobes. As with every year it is the silver lining easing us away from the days of golden sunlight and into new trends and fall fashions. This time around its less about oxbloods and oranges but something darker. Currently, multiple global crises are impacting our fashion choices and made it onto the mood boards of almost every big designer. Furthermore, the fall trends indicate a move towards more business-like attire and less romantic detailing. The era of excessive sparkle is giving way to clean lines, sheer fabrics and understated elegance. Black, with its eternal allure, is resurging, finding its place in blazers, coats, and other statement pieces.
For those seeking a pop of color, the bright and vibrant Barbie pink is making way for the rich and powerful crimson. This bold shade adds a touch of confidence and energy to the fall wardrobe, providing a striking contrast against the backdrop of black.

The top that could be sprung from Samatha Jones’s closet consists of a slinky crimson-colored base. Adorned with sparkling red pailettes, in slightly differing shades the piece reveals a subtle chevron pattern. With its thin straps and fitted bodice, the garment is perfect to give a daytime look a little something extra and every nighttime look the right starting point.
TOM FORD | 42 IT
Tom Ford first made a name for himself by creating breathtakingly sexy garments during his tenure at Gucci. For sure he has not lost any of his abilities to understand the female body when it comes to his own brand. Here he created a bright red skirt with at first glance looks stunning but nothing else. Upon closer inspection, it is to be seen that the base of the skirt consists of red lace, while the wearers’ modesty is ensured due to satin stripes of fabric, which could let a bit of skin shine through.
TZURI GUETA
The clutch, hand-made in Paris, has been created of the designer’s signature material: lace injected with silicone. This has not only been done for small objects and accessories but as well on a large scale for decorative elements. This artist manipulates materials to express themes of importance to him: nature, sea and organic shapes in general. Looking at this Aroma clutch many associations from nature can come to mind, from a beautiful coral in the sea to a rare mushroom in the rainforest.
VIONNET | 36
Vionnet is known for garments which are easy to wear pieces with a degree of glamour. Here a simple mini dress was taken as a base and got some asymmetric add-ons – creating the illusion of a midi dress from one side while the other one is showing off the wearer’s leg. Due to the draping of the fabric, an architectural shape is created, mixing soft movement with harsh lines. Its bright, crimson color gives the piece gets another layer of fabulous making it perfect for a night out, a cocktail party or a gallery visit.

Comfortable or a fashion statement? With these red pants both options are available. A tie closure makes these pants perfect for lounging around at home but they can as easily be dressed up for a day out and about, with a chunky knit or shirt – the options are basically endless, as the classic pants are elevated with their crimson color and a knee-high slit in the front, while still giving an interesting structure to the look.
PRADA | 42 IT
In a dark burgundy hue, the cropped cardigan by Prada is a multi-talented garment. Perfectly fit for the '90s as well as 2020s, the piece can either be paired with low-rise jeans to show some stomach or with high-waisted pants for a more covered-up look. Two added-on pockets finish off the collared piece that can be totally buttoned up.

Big bags might be the most talked about trend but small shoulder bags are and will remain very popular for those who don’t want to be tempted to bring their household with them on a daily basis. Within the Prada DNA are the clean lines, expertly executed in form of a rectangular bag. The small satin piece comes in a bright hue of red. Coming with their typical Prada triangle logo the top-handle purse is usable for a multitude of events – from cocktail hour to daytime grocery runs.
The more playful shopper can shift the focus from cheerful summer florals to dark-based Winter ones. A black base is paired with cold-toned pastels to create an autumnal look, while remaining very girly.
ZIMMERMANN | 0
Zimmermann is best known for soft pieces in primarily pastel hues. Here the designer took another approach and opted for a black base adorned with a print of whimsical butterflies and wisteria. The high-necked top is decorated with three-dimensional fabric butterflies daintily framing the wearers’ face.
PHILOSOPHY DI LORENZO SERAFIANI | 34
For his resort 2017 collection, Lorenzo Serafini went all in on the details. The dress alternates a striped fabric printed with a micro floral pattern and black lace, creating a patchwork of materials. With some tie-up details, the vintage-inspired layered dress looks like a mix of a 60s girl with some western influences. Ending over the wearer’s knee the midi-dress can be appropriately styled for basically any occasion.
OLYMPIA LE TAN
Playful yet grown-up – this small clutch is juxtaposing many opposites. The book after which it is designed is about school but due to the black and white coloring it is elegant and grown up. Added on pink details on the other hand give some interest and structure to the bag.
VINTAGE BAG
In the 50s handbags made of Gobelin have been all the rage. Way back in the day, when people lived in castles and houses without central heating the material mainly has been used for decorative, even artistic, as well as practical and insulating wall decorations. Much later a flower-patterned versions became omnipresent, from dainty evening bags to bigger and darker daytime bags. This example here is showcasing delicate flowers on a white background. In a typical vintage manner, it features a big clasp as a closure – giving us an oversized coin purse with a strap.
